If Democrats were really serious they wouldn't oppose other proposals to make schools safe such as armed guards at schools or refurbishing school buildings so that there is only one entrance to the school with all other doors in the school only opening from the inside.

They're going to have to come to a solution soon or parents will just refuse to send their children to school. Schools are for learning and not being some morons target practice.
