Still no elected speaker.  McCarthy will never get 218 votes as long as the 5 bandits keep voting against him.

The so called bandits have done the Republicans who want to control government spending, protect our southern border, and advance other policies that are good for America a big favor by forcing changes to the rules of the House which will make it easier to bring bills on those issues to the floor of the House for a vote. Eventually, McCarthy will get the 218 votes.  in two weeks this whole episode will be ancient history. It's only a big deal because the talking airheads on tv make it a big deal. the more they can hype it the better it is for their tv ratings.

They could always vote for Liz Cheney for speaker.  It may get over quicker.

He likely won't even get that.  Hakeem Jeffries could become the next speaker if most turned their back on McCarthy.  It likely won't happen as they don't want a democratic speaker for a republican house.

Not possible.  No Republican can vote for the far left socialist/Marxist Hakeem Jeffries and expect to be reelected in 2024. 212 is the most votes Jeffries will ever get because that's how many Democrats there are in the House.
