Usually settlements agreed to by both parties in litigation are not appealed. Because both interested parties must sign the settlement agreement for it to go into effect, thereby proving that each understands and accepts it, it's nearly impossible to appeal a settlement decision. That is not a damn defense or valid explanation in this case, A person behind a glass door seeing a young person without a weapon has no business shooting him. He did not try to break into the house. This was first I had heard of the decision. From Stncld's comment I thought he meant it didn't take long for a jury to make a decision. My mistake.
