Wondering where your Moment 3 update is for Windows 11? It’s coming to everyone in July, ready or not…

Another forced update Micro$oft is going to shoved down the throats of all Windows 11 users whether you like it or not in their July cumulative update. The update will be set to Enabled by Default so there is no way to turn it off to prevent further updates. As I find out more about it I'll post what it all entails.

Can't you set your updates to download only, then you pick what and when to install that section of the update?

Sorry, I don't know. I still run 8.1 and will till it dies. I have a Win 7 machine that is still fine too!

I have tried turning the updates off and it doesn't work.  I guess they figured since they offered Windows 11 for free people will just have to take what's thrown their way. The only way around it is to go back to the older O/S's such as Windows 7 or 8.1 then updates can be shut down. Only thing is it offers no more support for the older O/S's. There is another option and that's just get rid of Windows and replace it with a non windows O/S's such as Linux, FreeBSD, Chromium, Illumos, Zorin, AROS and there are plenty of other alternatives other than Windows. I have tried Zorin O/S before and it's decent for something that's free on a CD, but as soon as the CD was removed all the work was lost and had to begin from scratch every time. Now they offer a downloadable version which will copy right to the SSD. I believe they charge for the download version but it's cheap something like $20 to $30.

I'll try it when it's first updated but if I do not like it then Windows 11 is gone.
