We keep open the possibility that they may do something off camera occasionally but we give them the benefit of the doubt because they let us see them naked from time to time. Their gesture of benevolence seems to quench our demand for a realistic presentation of life and we move on. I should have challenged this presumption when Kristy visited. Do we think that nothing at all happened between them? Why did Kristy even visit?
