He later invited us aboard. I called it a boat, not a yacht, because it was all engine. Three engines to be exact, and he had to replace the propeller shafts every 100 hours, IIRC. The boat later had an indirect connection with a very popular member of the Royal Family. Another time, I left girlfriend to drink and dance at Les Caves du Roi discotheque. I was driving to Nice in the morning, and needed to sleep. When I received the hotel bill the next morning, and saw the charges from Les Caves, I told her she had used up one of her nine lives. That was mostly my fault for not explaining beforehand how they charged. Same girlfriend on that visit was hit on by a tech mogul. I was there on one trip on the occasion of the Queen's official birthday, which the hotel celebrated with fireworks and "God Save the Queen". Very pleasant and uncrowded.
