I’ll stick up for Jessie but I don’t really have a dog in this race. We have had several examples of slow starters. Karma was one for the most part, but she spares nothing now. Of course many don’t like her now but that’s the standard life cycle trajectory here. I think there is other examples of intitially shy girls. 
 

if Jessie realizes this is not for her, she may very much want out, but right now it’s her home and she would likely have to find a new place to live. That could take some time.
