The last update I got from the software developer was back in March or April regarding its release date. It was initially planned for June, but a few setbacks caused delays. The software has already been installed on our sister site xCamFan, and once a fix is found for a glitch, it will be installed here at Cam Caps. I'm hoping it happens soon, but it all depends on the development of the app with the glitch, which needs an update before the software can be implemented here. 1

From what I can observe at xCamFan it's a makeover from top to bottom, this is a significant improvement over the previous version. Dark Mode websites are widely preferred, and that's exactly what this version 5 software will offer. It will be a welcome change to move away from the Blue and White color scheme, which can be particularly straining for older individuals and those with vision impairments. 1
