He wouldn't have come out of the bathroom with a smirk on his face showing it to her like "i know your secret" if he didn't know. He's just chosing not to go to war in the middle of the night 1

I think his reaction was like this not enjoying seeing Elli drunk and still with the guy at that time . Of what we have seen from him and if - I believe - he loves her very much , if he had found out , I would expect a different reaction . EXCEPT if it isn’t the first time ..
