Good to know you get robbed in the US like we do in the UK for a basic circuit board and plastic case. 

If your keys use CR2025 or CR2032 batteries only buy premium brands as cheap ones always die after about 6 months, premium ones usually last upto 2 years, of course if you lock / unlock your vehicle 10 times a days they will die a lot sooner.
