My idea is that Leora is chatting with different peoples. If you notice, Leora can chat for hours and hours, too much time to chat with just one person. The other person will have a work to do, need to eat, or go to the bathroom or just sleep.

Without real social friends , in an isolated boring and imprisoned life , she NEEDS to drag herself on long phonecalls or watch hours and hours of laptop and tablet programs so as to feel part of a society , part of the world. 

It is all ABSOLUTELY her choices having no friends and being COMPLETELY alone , as a human being I feel sad for her as soon as she gets outside in the real world , she is totally clueless of what’s going on , people will soon realize and will try to trick her and fool her . Of course having managed to live by herself will be of great help in the first steps outside of RLC but the time will come that she will need to interact for basic daily life routine things and then the reality will hit her hard …
