Adeline was about to play on the balcony and then she heard something and has retreated to the bedroom and closed the net curtains. 

I have to wonder is someone is outside with a drone after discovering their precise location and their actual apartment ...unless Adeline was merely put off by something else because she did seem to look up and around before retreating to the bedroom. 

I guess I'll have to check replay later.

No this would be the tallest building within the immediate vicinity and on the edge between other buildings and as we can see a Woods/Copse of some sort.
