Not that I understand slapping the face or butt as being sexual, but he does so with inner angst. His facial expressions has built in anger (or maybe he is generally demeaning to women). How he inflicts pain on her (twisting/pulling her nipples, the various slaps, etc), I think she tolerates it much more than finding them a turn on.  Granted, she'll squirm and squeal whether having sex or poaching an egg. The pain he inflicts is different than a couple who likes bondage.

Once he tires of her, their 'romance' will fizzle.  Other then a dick and three options where to put it, I don't see what interests they have to share long term. Until then, enjoy the ride (no different then Elle and her boy toy with a dog).
