It's a law that will hard to enforce.  Police have a hard time catching criminals let alone monitoring someone walking the streets smoking a cigarette.

I puffed my first cigarette at 13 years old, then ended up smoking for 35 years. I'm about a month and a half shy of 20 years smoke, or should I say tobacco free.

Sounds like the smoking age is 18 in the UK and that is why they targeted the year of born in 2009. If they want them, they will get them plain and simple. It's nothing but big brother trying to control something they think they can. This is NO different then the US outlawing alcohol in the 20's. I like how the Ug states " The bill is Really Great at protecting the Next Generation" 🤔 Perhaps they should be more concerned about all the currently living generations in the UK that are victims of continued and increasing amount of crimes by the mass of ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS they are doing nothing about
