Back in the 60's and 70's, punk would ride around in their cars with bats blowing mailboxes off of their posts. My dad mounted a mailbox full of concrete on the post. The perp got both of his arms snapped when he tried it on that mailbox. He tried to sue my dad, but the Judge ruled that it was destruction of both private and government property and dismissed the case. Nobody ever had their mailboxes smashed after that little fiasco. You could hear the kid screaming down the street. 1
