On the 3rd boring day of listening to people drone on and on, I was pretty burned out. I had another 2 hour meeting on the 4th day and as soon as the speaker got up, he started his whole thing with, wait for it...'Ya know...'. I got out my pad and made a stroke for every time he said 'ya know'. In the first 30 minutes he said it 427 times. I couldn't take it any longer. I got up and walked out. They asked where I was going and I told them the reason why. He said 'ya know', 427 times and I had heard enough of someone that couldn't form a reasonable sentence. Dude argued with me and I was backed up by almost everyone that had to sit there and listen to that drivel. If you want to be a public speaker, learn how to speak first. 1 1
