No, actually fish and vodka, as acquavit (or brändvin), are a perfect mix. The fish has to be fat so the alcool is less strong or hurt less the stomach. You should try in Sweden the rotten canned fish, the syrstromming, with the acquavit.... This for Noldus to comment, Norway might have it too.

You are totally wrong. Try some smoked salmon with vodka and blinis, you won't puke... It's delicious ! They don't do that in Canada ? How can you stand the cold ?
