When she blacked he panicked and the argument ended there. But things didn't appear to be moving fast enough for George and he left. Whether it was to take the dude home or not I don't know. Alan tried to comfort Serena in the bathroom after Nina let him know it was serious and he laughed when he left at something Nina said. i don't think the laugh had anything to do with Serena. i think he actually cares for Serena and if the night got ruined, for once I don't blame Alan.     You are absolutely right Just. It creates a "first among equals" and stops any real partying with other male visitors. Moreover, it places Serena in a position to where she can have a big influence on who stays and goes and what happens. She's a late comer and thus it is not fair to Alan and Nina. Even if she does not exercise that prerogative, every knows it is the elephant in the room. I've seen things like this happen before and it never turns out good. She can't help it, before long she'll start asking for special favors and he'll cave. For a while. Then he'll find another girl because he's a cock hound and has no honor and the fighting will start.     And you are right on not knowing tip. But we can speculate based on the answers we have gotten the translations from groomy and others and what we have seen.
