Quite frankly the closing ceremony was a disgrace. Whereas Danny Boyle's opening ceremony had been in parts little short of a masterpiece, the closing ceremony seemed nothing short of a celebration of gay culture with the possible nadir when Victoria Beckham was put forward as a fashion design icon ... I mean we'd already had the Spice Girls which was fair enough, fairly talentless but did represent a global phenomenon for a few years. Also George Michael was allowed to do set during which instead of playing classic hits he plugged his own records. Not everything was gay but it felt that way which is probably why they were a little miffed being as Neil Tennant saw it, the pinnacle.

I more of a prog rock man but as far as pop singles (*) of the 80s goes these were my favourites followed by The Pet Shop Boys, The Eurythmics and the less subtle Duran Duran. (*) Well actually The Hurting is labelled correctly as a concept album but they certainly were pop as opposed to rock. I have probably posted a couple of Pet Shop Boys tracks before but here is the debut single which came out at the same time as the first single by probably my favourite female voice, Whitney Houston. 2 gobsmacking but very different singles to hit me simultaneously.

British new wave band "Tears for Fears" were on the surface just another synth based pop band of the early 80s but then there are the lyrics which are from another planet. Dark psychological out of a horror film.

I have been away a couple of days disappointed with falling asleep just before The Goddess's epic performance 2 days ago, wondering if I can keep being up at this time of day only to miss the big reward. That bate seemed to have everything from the replay thumbs (they change so actually you do see what went on) and the climax video. Well I am back just watching The Goddess and I doubt I will be lucky but she is compelling. What is she doing with her hair?

The Siberian hamster was in hibernation (it happens when it gets cold) today and so he sadly missed all the action this morning.

Welcome flat. We don't know for sure but we have the evidence of what some of the residents have said. Supposedly the couples are all paid the same on top of expenses such as rent. In Barcelona the "Girls on Vacation" do seem to get bonuses possibly for shows. As for the "Roommates" I think they are probably similar to the couples but we have not really any evidence. You would have thought Leora aka The Goddess would get the most but not according to what we know and regarding a comparison between the frequently naked Julia and the usually clothed Maya then we simply do not know the motivation but I believe it is just personal behaviour in the context of being on a voyeur site.
