The light is visible to the cameras. It is not visible to the human eye. You see a light that is on because you are looking through a camera that can see light in the infrared spectrum. The people in the room do not see the light because the human eye does not see light in the infrared spectrum. That is how night-vision cameras work (as opposed to mere low light cameras). But whatever, it's not that important to me that you understand how the cameras work. Believe what you will.

Right, but the IR light source in this room is separate from the cameras. The problem last night was that light wasn't on. The camera was in black and white mode last night as well before everything went dark.

You won't know if night vision's working if/until the candles go out. They're the light source in the room right now.

You're looking through a camera that has a CCD that detects infrared/near-infrared illumination, so you're probably seeing reflections of the camera's own IR LEDs. In most cases the room would look dark to the human eye (much as Nicole's does right now).

There's only one IR lamp in that bedroom (and none in the bathroom). The cameras don't have their own IR LEDs. Why it's setup that way, I don't know. But every time night vision has failed in that room, it has failed on all the cams.

Yeah, and I think the infrared lights are built into most of the cameras in RLC. But for some reason they have a separate infrared lamp in this room. Why that is I don't know, but they should change it. It's been a repeated problem.

She didn't flip a switch, she blew out the candles on the nightstand. You can watch it on replay. The problem is that the infrared lamp didn't turn on. You can see that the black and white low light mode of the camera still works whenever there's some light source, but the infrared lamp is supposed to come on when there is no other light source. Why it doesn't come on, I can only speculate. But it's been a recurrent problem in the room and it hasn't correlated with people having sex. This is the same argument that always happens though. People always assume it's intentional sabotage by the girl in the room, even when it's clear from sound that nothing is happening. People should definitely email RLC about it. It's ridiculous that they still haven't fixed this issue when it's been happening as long as this apartment has been open. And I'm not defending Nicole, she obviously has a huge number of flaws as an RLC resident (though avoiding having sex on cam hasn't been one of them). I just think people should be telling RLC to fix the actual problem not focusing on the usual conspiracy theory.

It's something that seems to happen fairly randomly. It's not a consistent problem (which I guess is why it's hard to fix). It happened with Belle and Lola in the room. It happened with Candy in the room. It happened with Michelle in the room. I think it happened once before with Nicole and Estelle in the room. If you go back through the threads for this apartment, you'll find various freakouts about it. It doesn't seem to correlate with anything exciting happening in the room, though obviously tonight was unfortunate. There's also a difference between the camera being in black and white mode (low light) which was working fine tonight and it being in infrared mode. The problem only seems to happen with the latter.

Lol. The idea that Stella hides things from the camera is one of the most ridiculous conspiracy theories ever. She is probably the Barcelona girl who has done the most openly on cam. Multiple lesbian orgies? Check. Masturbated openly with a vibrator many times? Check. Had sex with guy on cam multiple times? Check. Why would she do all those things and then strategically block your view of a topless girl getting painted? I think Stella just doesn't think much about the cams, so she sits wherever she would normally sit if they weren't there. Sometimes that blocks a view.

I think RLC missed a big opportunity here. They could have had an official rematch with a ref and everything. Winner keeps the room, loser goes home.

From what he's said on previous visits, he lives with his parents. So I think he's going to have to get over that fear if he wants anything to happen. He just seems scared to make a move to me, but who knows.

I'm all for seeing Irma with a guy, but this particular guy seems like a world class doofus. It's like he read the Wikipedia page on the 60s, understood maybe ten percent of it, and is trying to recycle that 10 percent as a life philosophy/source of terrible pickup lines.

Seems pretty clear that both Nicole and Estelle should head home. Them rooming together was always a bad idea from a viewer's perspective, and now it's a disaster on their end as well. Nicole can be entertaining when she has her own room but she's pretty much proven she can't live peacefully with other girls. I guess maybe Estelle could stay, but she's done nothing to show that she would be entertaining on her own and she bares a decent amount of the blame for escalating that fight into something physical. Wasn't Danaya supposed to leave soon too? For some reason I had the 15th in my head, but that's obviously wrong. I wouldn't mind seeing Angelina with 2 new girls. She seems like she's willing to have fun, but she's been dumped into a pretty crappy situation.
