Sorry there is more than just two schools of thought in this world. I don't expect you, a layman, to know how to get an unarmed older man out of the way without pushing him but I definitely expect law enforcement officers to know how to do that strategically. The fact that you can't fathom a way to do it doesn't mean there isn't a way. I'm sure a person trained in the art of defense and formation would know exactly how to do that. Pushing is not the professional response. I hold my police officers to a high standard. Why are you so against cops getting better training and being held to a higher standard? The idea of restricting police work to the essentials and using freed resources for prevention crime is, however, worthy of discussion. Cops should be held to a high standard, but I would need to see exactly what you mean by a higher standard before I agreed to that. SO STOP PUTTING WORDS IN MY MOUTH. When you see sharks in the water, best not to jump in...let alone poke them with your cell phone and stand in their way.
