Dth
I have a Galaxy Note 3. When CC sends me a email about a post I click on the link to go to CC to read the post BUT an ad pops up first. Sometime when I close the link and then click on the link again I can read the post. I can go straight to CC on my note 3 using the browser without any problems. Does this happen to you? Can I stop the ads? I have no problems using my desktop or laptop only my Note 3 phone.
Guest BJon
You Should be able to download adblock or adaway for your phone to block most ads.
TBG 150
Yeah. It's porndoink or some shit like that. I had to install malwarebytes to get rid of the pup they put on my phone. So now I don't use this forum to stop boredom when I'm at work stuck. Not knocking Admin, but since the membership inception and the board splitting up, there have been some ads here that want to flat out take over your computer. It was fun guys and gals, but I'll be very non-existent around here. The membership funds should more than cover the costs of running the board. If not, then it should be made fully a private club and the free-loaders dumped. The ads need to be put in the trash, just like the ones that come in the mail. Dth
Like you that was the only time I viewed CC at work when I had nothing going on. I thought I paid to be ad free. So I will only be on CC at home. Chrome does does not like RLC so I do not check out the cam's on my phone. I guess I will have to work when I'm at work. Admin
Mobile redirect ads have been removed. I too found them annoying, and had no control over what ads were shown. As for the other two ads (Banner, and in thread), those have to stay for a while as they are under contract. My promise has been that you will never see more than one ad at a time. I have them spaced such that only one is visible at a time. Additionally, I'll have to evaluate whether it makes sense to remove them, sense that is the only way to capture revenue from non-paying members. Unfortunately, at this time I unable to remove ads based on member groups (I will look into this). Thank You, - Admin

TBG 150
It's either the phone or I need an iPad or other netbook type unit and then let the phone be the hotspot for whatever it is that I buy. I can get stuck sitting for hours to either load or unload. My phone is too valuable a tool to me to have it munged up with malware and all sorts of cookies.
