mkryan1
This seemed to fit people over 40. I don't know the answer but it was a trip when it crossed my mind. What do you think the percentage is, of teens today that has actually put a needle on a record to listen to music? A- 50% B- 25% C- Lower than 10% I wana put D for all the above but it doesn't correlate. I'm thinkin C! What do YOU think?
Guest Pirate
I still have vinyl and play it occasionally. My grown up kids have no idea what they have missed let alone teenagers. I'm guessing 0 to 1%
Guest BJon
Ah yes I remember these vinyl things you speak of..remember putting a penny on the arm to keep them from skipping? I would say 1/1000 of percent.
Dth
They are making a come back. Players can be found at Target and new33 and 1/3's can be found at Frys's. But for now C is my answer.

Guest ww_watcher
"C" would be my answer too. My kids have used my turntable because they like some of my old music like Black Sabbath, Cream, Genesis, and the Beatles but the majority of their friends haven't used them. However, I haven't seen any evidence that they notice the sonic differences.
TBG 150
Big difference if played on the proper reproduction equipment. Vinyl is far superior in quality. Run it through a good Marantz system that won't digitize it and listen to the difference. Night and day. Especially in really high notes and sub sonic that you feel more than hear. I have an extensive vinyl collection of Virgil Fox playing Pipe Organs from all over the world. Much of it has also been reproduced onto CD. The CD's are just more convenient to play in the car

Foamy T. Squirrel
I agree with "C." The younger ones don't even deal with CD's anymore.
