There is crime in Republican Cities as well.  Not every Republican is a law abiding citizen.

But at least Republican prosecutors prosecute criminals and put them in prison so they cannot commit more crimes. Democrat prosecutors do not.

I can't believe I'm getting drawn into this no brainer discussion...🥴

Obviously you guys across the pond have a whole different mentality...and sadly have to address a mass shooting every other week. Good luck...😞

Some do😒

This 18 year old kid shot all those young children and a teacher with not only a handgun, but an AR style assault weapon.  There is no damn reason that an 18yr old or anyone else, except law enforcement needs to own assault weapons, IMO.  They are not for hunting, they are for killing.

This is why we need to own guns, cause crimes & murders in democrats controlled cities is out of hand cause they don't get prosecuted

Even your own Governor saw the need for gun control after the mass shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School, Parkland Fla in 2018.  But some states still have not acted accordingly--Texas being one of them where this mass shooting occurred.  You however, do not seem to know even your own Florida gun laws-or you would have mentioned them when I said that 18-21 year old have no business owning an assault weapons in a previous post.

State law[edit]

Main article: Florida Senate Bill 7026

In March 2018, the Florida Legislature passed a bill titled the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act. It raised the minimum age for buying rifles to 21, established waiting periods and background checks, provided a program for the arming of some school employees and hiring of school police, banned bump stocks, and barred some potentially violent or mentally unhealthy people arrested under certain laws from possessing guns. In all, it allocated around $400 million.[7] Rick Scott signed the bill into law on March 9.[8]

On the day the Parkland bill was signed into law, the NRA sued, challenging the ban on gun sales to people ages 18 to 21.[250] The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida upheld the constitutionality of the law and dismissed the NRA's suit in June 2021.[251]

This law needs to be passed by the Federal Government so that States must comply with this common sense law.
