nothing is in imminent danger until the money stops rolling in

Well that's the real question. Does RLC still view their current model as profitable? Or do they feel the current RLC prices aren't sustainable based on what they're offering? As far as I'm aware we have no way of knowing exactly what RLC's expenses look like compared to their profit. So it's anyone's guess at this point.

personally, i believe that if it wasn't profitable you would be seeing some huge changes and that, so far, is not happening.  they still think getting every apartment together for these boring clickbait events is the answer, where in fact it's what's hurting them the most in my opinion.  as for there current prices being sustainable to what they are offering, well, they still have the doors open and lights on so that also seems to be working for them.  as you say though, it's all just a guess in the end.

Imagine viewing it from the consumer's standpoint, RLC.

Why might investing more money for fewer benefits actually be a smart move?

The cost of living refers to the amount of money needed to cover basic expenses such as housing, food, taxes, and healthcare in a particular place and time. It varies widely depending on the location and lifestyle choices. For instance, living in a bustling city like Melbourne can be more expensive compared to a smaller town due to higher rent, transportation costs, and general living expenses. Factors like inflation, economic policies, and availability of goods and services also play a significant role in determining the cost of living. This being the case RLC needs to be smart about the cost of XLIFE. I think it's overpriced for the 1, 3 and 9 subscriptions. RLC have time to get the pricing right but with Christmas around the corner they need to get it right.

I had a subscription for a single apartment with 1 swap.
I subscribed to Rachel first and then switched the subscription to Lya Helia.
Helia was not in her apartment for 4 days since i subscribed and the cam is down since last 3 days. I have hardly seen her for 2 days since i subscribed.(I subscribed 10 days back)
Since i have subscribed to only 1 apartment, I cant see anything else. In RLC if a cam was down, or a resident was on vacation we had other options to watch, which we dont have in xlife.
This subscription feels useless now and I feel scammed.
In this case we should at least get an option to watch another cam, or the subscription must be extended.

If situation doesnt improve, i am not coming to this site anytime soon.

Supply and demand usually causes the price to adjust accordingly. RLC will have to compare revenue to costs to see if lowering the price and altering the options available to customers to decide if this new business model can succeed or not feasible to continue. I imagine RLC is continuously crunching numbers. Today's voyeur demands/tastes are not the same as it was when RLC first started up with some nudity, a bit of sex and tenants actually living their "real life" inside and outside the walls of RLC. How many tenants today actually have a real daily job to go to and/or don't necessarily perform for the cams? Do voyeurs today really want to watch non-nude cams or got use to and demand nudity and sex? RLC and subscribers/viewers will soon find out.

due to the over abundance of nudity on rlc, it was a nice, refreshing change watching Lya while it lasted.  she was clothed 99% of the time with an occasional glimpse of nudity here and there.  it  reminded me of the old/beginning of rlc.

Yeah see this is the type of thing I'm worried about with this new website. The participants are in control of when the streams start and stop. I'm not a fan of that at all. The beauty of RLC as it is today is that the cameras never get turned off... unless there's a maintenance period. But the cams are on 99% of the time. That's the whole reason I find this website appealing. Without 24/7 cams in every room I completely lose interest.

Yeah if you check the terms on the XLIFE site it states that the participants can choose to stop streaming. Though it did also mention that if they stop streaming for 5+ days that may be removed from the website.
