I guess the difference is in the eye of the particular viewer. I have said this before but everything online is click bait of some form, I think the term is overused. IMO 1

IMO Both terms are widely used in the UK, but engagement bait is on the increase because content creators will post comments on their posts to get viewers/followers to 'engage' with comments/answers which in turn creates numbers for the creators. I agree the term clickbait is overused. 2
