Seems to me she didn't trust Nina anymore. Nina said things like "...that's the absolute truth...", tried to convince Kira that all these things are a misunderstanding by letting her check her chat history (but Kira refused). In the end, as you said, Nina sucked-up and Kira finally gave in. This time, Nina had to corrupt her with sex to save the situation. At least it was a well lit, colorful sex romp. I really hope they can resolve their differences.
