I don't fault Julia and Gavin or Christy if she decides to join the industry, for their decision. In fact, seeing the "ordinary" lives of people in that industry has opened my eyes. I suppose I and many others have watch porn but have no conception for what it is like for the performers. There is the stereotypical image of the sexually abused girl being taken advantage of by unscrupulous producers and turned into a miserable life of porn, drugs and prostitution. The reality in more cases these days is that of young people taking control of their lives and futures and seeking out the profession. Sex isn't the same as it was when I was younger. Then, a girl who did this life was viewed as a victim or a slut, quite honestly. Understand what things were like for older people (I think of myself as older but try to think young) then. Nowadays, with ready birth control and different attitudes, young people have sex younger, don't make it a reason to have to be committed long term to each other and it is not as big a deal. I have three grown children, so I do understand the differences today. So, sometimes I occasionally accidentally revert to old attitudes which I hoped I had licked. I believe very strongly in womens' rights and equality. Just because I want to see sex is not an excuse to revert back. So, I am trying to take a healthier approach to this site. I most certainly don't find it necessary to call perfectly healthy men or women enjoying the pleasures of sex any names at all. The derogatory terminology implies moral judgement which a half step from religious views on human sexuality which are completely without merit. Many people today don't intend it that way, but do it unconsciously. And religious attitudes do have a lot to do with it. I won't get into which religions tend toward this.
