cc updates

I wrote many times to CC that I do not want to receive updates on any thread I'm following, yet, they still come and fill my mail box.    Please explain to me in clear English or French what I have to do to stop receiving these damm updates.  I can read the thread, I don't need to have it repeted in my mailbox................................Thank you.

You receive updates in your mailbox when you have clicked on follow this thread I think.

Click again on the button and select unfollow to stop the email

The only notification that you have set is: 

Someone quotes a comment or post I made

I can disable that if you'd like.  If you are manually following a thread you may need to unfollow it to stop receiving updates. However, nothing is being automatically followed.

I think I have it now, I just pressed on the unfollow red button, we'll see thanks.

I have the same request about private message.

How can i disable the notification in my personnal mailbox if i receive a private message in  this board ?
