You could buy those for just a couple of G's back then, when in todays, money, they are still affordable cars. But, many of them are now selling for upward of $20k, if you can find them. I see lots of them at cruises and local shows. The funny ones are the rebadging of the base cars. The Pinto becomes a Bobcat, the Vega becomes an Astre, etc... Those were the days of governmental meddling into the automotive industry and we all knows what happens to something when a government entity steps in to "make it better". It's now a total failure. The Cobra could just about keep up with the traffic on I-95 these days. I ran my 'new' '69 Fleetwood up 95 at 85mph, just to keep up with the flow of the traffic.
