Reading Nelly's body language, she was "distant" shall we say.. and played it cool. Martina was preparing food and they did some small talk in Spanish which I'm able to fully understand, then spoke in Russian.. which I don't.. then as Nelly was walking away, Martina called her over and gave her a hug, and held on to her for quite some time and then whispered something inaudible in her ear.. The Spanish speakers on this forum are doing the translating, and I thank them for it. Most of the other apartments speak Russian or Czech or Hungarian or I'm not sure what else.. Martina talk to her mother regularly and often very audibly.
