I took my wife to a nice restaurant last night, she ordered grilled barramundi (fish) and I went for a medium rare scotch fillet. The waiter soon came back to change the cutlery, twice as much as we needed anyway. My wife was presented with a special fish knife and I got a steak knife. After about five minutes of thought I called the waiter over and told him I wasn’t happy and I wanted to change my order. When he asked what the problem was, I told him that if he was expecting the steak to be so tough that I needed a large knife with a serrated edge to cut it, I didn’t want it. He left and returned with the owner who assured me their steaks were not tough and it would just melt in my mouth. After a couple of minutes, the steak knife was removed and replaced with a normal knife. We agreed that if I couldn’t cut the steak with a plain butter knife I didn’t have to pay the bill, including my wife’s meal. So, I don’t know what took place between the owner and the chef, but I paid for the meal, willingly. By far the best steak I’ve ever had.

I need, no, Australia needs, a big, big favour. Now that the Republicans have control could you please curb your President’s overseas spending, as in the money he spends to travel overseas. I know you would probably prefer that he was out of the country so you can get on with fixing it, but we don’t fucking want him back. One of his bullshit speeches, that tied in with his sloppy hand shake with China, he criticised Australia for not doing more to curb global warming and that we are putting things like The Great Barrier Reef at risk. He said, almost threatened, to come back again, with his kids to see it and hoped it would still be pristine. There’s a reason to blow the fucking thing up. Now lets just accept for the sake of the argument, that global warming is real and countries are polluting the planet with ‘greenhouse gases’. Of the world’s contributors to this, Australia is number 14 with 1.3%. China, the USA’s new found friend, is number 1 with 22.7% and the good ole USA number 2 with 15.6%. So if Obama reduced the USA’s contribution by just 10%, and he’s promising double that, that 10% is more than Australia’s total contribution. Obama, fuck off and stay away. And as for Obama cuddling a wimpy Koala, the worst it could do was piss on him, China’s first lady was filmed cuddling a baby Tassie Devil (my sister’s second born). Only a baby but mean like his uncle, so pretty gutsy effort. Maybe China ain’t that bad after all (certainly the first lady!).

Watched a lot of the stuff these guys do and often very informative, even though I think they are both wannabes. This however, jumps right into the lap of people who want gun control. Just in case the critics think I'm picking on Obama just for the hell of it, this is some of the bullshit he promoted and spouted during his trip to Brisbane. He started off by trying to hijack the forum on economics by trying to promote global warming as a major, if not the major, topic. In fairness, it did get a mention in the final document produced, but just a mention. The reason was that he was trying to point score by pushing his handshake deal with the Chinese President, Xi Jiping, to introduce 'serious' emission controls from both China and America. All the Greenies and tree huggers were creaming themselves, thinking they had won some sort of victory for the planet. Obama promised that the US would cut 2005 emissions by 25% before 2025. China on the other hand will keep increasing emissions till 2030, before it levels out and then starts to reduce. Obama's promise is not binding anyway because the Republicans will block it as they are pissed off that China will continue increasing its emissions for 16 years, till 2030, wiping out any so called savings to the planet that the US might achieve. What the Greens and tree huggers didn't hear because they were so busy wanking each other has now made them cream themselves from the other end, full blown diarrhoea. First off, China didn't promise 20% change to renewable resources, but a reduction in fossil fuels, which actually means nuclear power, a five fold increase to the number of current reactors. Added to that, the US reductions will be a reduction of one fossil fuel, coal, to another fossil fuel, oil. Yes oil pollutes less, but the US increase in oil has come about by fracking, something the Greenies and tree huggers hate more than anything. In fairness to Obama, there was at least one bigger fuckwit there, our own Prime Minister, Tony Abbot.

Good point. But being from the West, I hate wasting water. Why not use the hollow points right away, then use rubber squeegees and water canons to clean up the mess in the street? Is that a good compromise? Hollow points. I can appreciate the logic to an escalation in force, but by the time you get from water to hollows, and you will, there's a serious risk of a policeman getting injured. Not worth the risk. And don't apply the automatic lockout, a good few bursts into the crowd will normally stop them in their tracks. And if it doesn't the increasing pile of bodies acts as a makeshift barricade.

Not meaning to brag, but the Aussies have a similar philosophy, with quality based on "She'll be right mate!" and productivity on "Don't put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing all together". That is of course unless you are on one of your twenty paid leave days (plus an additional 5 to 10 days if you work remote) ten public holidays, ten paid sick days, five paid carers leave days, and in some employment positions, a flexi day off once a month. So out of a potential 260 working days, you could get away with as little as 200, which equates to a four day working week. After 10 years, you get an additional 13 weeks paid leave, building up pro rata after that. And if your profession happens to be in the hospitality industries, or some similar areas like retail, your 5 day week might be from Wednesday to Sunday, in which case you get penalty rates for Saturday and Sunday between time and a half and double time. If it happens to be a public holiday, that can be as much as triple time. Fuck the country, fuck the employers, up the workers!

President Obama was just in Australia for the G20 meeting, spouted the biggest lot of bullshit I've heard for years. Some fuckwit Australians were out cheering and screaming like he was a rock star. And he spent time cuddling a wimpy koala. Should have given him a Tassie devil to hold, that would have sorted him out, straight for the jugular.
