  3. Perhaps it's just their Braille edition.
  4. So it comes as no surprise that, like many Los Angeles teams, the Dodgers choked again this year. My favorite player used to be Kershaw. I still think he's great but now I'm thrilled with Chase Utley. Yeah, I know: Hall of Fame is nice; Golden Glove Award - okay; but there needs to be one other: The Tyrus. That is the award won by serious baseball players who don't grow beards, don't roll their eyes and thank Jesus when they hit a double and, most importantly, know how to break up a double play. The Tyrus is so named to honor the greatest baseball player who ever lived: Ty Cobb. I'm sure everyone agrees. :: smiles ::
  5. The Loan Arranger.... Couldn't see that coming, right?
  6. I think it's great when they redo the classics of an earlier era. For example, long ago there was something called "I remember Mama." How nice. But then as time passed and morals changed it was updated here, in I Dismember Mama. Not as nice, I suppose. https://youtu.be/4PQ9DuaN_Ow
  7. Indeed, the law can vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Generally speaking, however, "unless their lives are in imminent danger" is not, as far as I know, the requirement in any jurisdiction. More common are rules (not laws, generally) allowing the unsnap with reasonable suspicion (circumstances that would make a reasonable person suspicious under the same circumstances) and allowing the full presentation of a firearm (1) after a pursuit or a prolonged unwillingness to pull a car over, for example or (2) when the officer believes s/he may be in bodily danger (not necessarily life threatening). Fleeing suspects account to an enormous percentage of officer injuries so, once the chase is on, expect to see a sidearm presentation even if you hop out of the car and lie face down on the pavement with your fingers laced behind your head.
  8. ... and other TV shows of that era:
  9. Top Hats off to Jimmy McHugh (and Dorothy Fields) for this great song!

  11. I'm not so sure. Looks to me like the throw from the outfield was way offline anyway and the runner had it beat from the jump. Yeah,,you are correct,,after all,,the original throw in the outfield was from Johnny Damon, and he does throw like a girl,,no offense to the girls who may throw better than him, lol. But Manny's interception gave just enough time for the base runner to score. There, I agree. But not with the "throws like a girl" part.
  12. Pretty good puppeteer. I tried that once with one puppet at a friend's house. Not easy at all.
  13. Had to chuckle at that one.

  15. We are currently on the cop and the teen girl. But your comment about the pig who helped the convicts escape is a good one. Plus, she is liable for an 8-year sentence. I call "BullShit!" She should serve consecutive sentences to match the maximum of the guys she helped escape.
  16. New shooter. Coming out fresh. So. Now we are expected to endure Hillary 3.0 Fuck that. Tomorrow, out comes poor little Hillary, whose mom was abused, who was forced to send her kids to California on the train (Hillary would love to pull the train). ** sobs ** ** sobs ** Why old bag Rodham was…. WAIT for IT Yet another female VICTIM !!!! So we need to vote for the reptilian yeast infection because she is JUST LIKE US !!!! ** more sobs ** And that will be the basis for this dumb fuck’s campaign for the presidency. What an asshat.
  17. It's a question of smarts, Woody. The Democrats have always, always, always oppressed black people. Sure, now they try to tell us (and the kids in school) that the nasty bigoted white people in the South were all Republicans -- when we know they were ALL Democrats. They tell us that the parties changed their names and the party of oppression used to be called "Democrats" but then the two parties switched and they started calling themselves "Republicans." Jim Crow laws? All Republican. The KKK? Republicans! Now, they enslave black people even more intensely with government dependence. The chains that feel so good -- generation after generation. Some are smart enough to tell the Democrats to fuck off. But like most people, they prefer the easy path. In short, slavery ended a very long time ago. Everybody who is mentally and physically able to work but who chooses to sit on their ass and live on the dole deserves what they get. That puts them in the "Monkey" category.
