Just to add some thoughts, Leora isn't stupid. She sees a bigger picture for herself (whatever that may be). The only bi-line I haven't read is she was raised by wolves in a goat orphanage. The only thing believable of Leora at a young age is she met Paul in high school.

In time, Leora will wake up and realize this isn't normal.
