Just an FYI for the future, these days "little person" or "dwarf" are the preferred terms for someone who is shorter than average. "Midget is an offensive term for someone who is much smaller than average. While it's acceptable today to describe an inanimate object with the adjective midget, it's never okay to use the word for a person."

Yes, if they had taken an LST measurement along with the air temperature measurement, it likely would have been much higher than 135°. For example, the air temperature of the aptly named Furnace Creek in Death Valley reaches a staggering average daily high of 115°F. It gets even hotter on the ground: a measurement of 201°F was taken on July 15 1972 - just 11 degrees away from the boiling point of water. I think I can cross Death Valley off my bucket list of places I'd love to visit. 😊 -
Now, I'm curious. First, @rebls said this. Then you, @Faze Me, said this. Then I said this. And Rebls gave me a "like" for saying it, indicating that he agreed with what I said. But then you said you didn't get it in your PM. Now, I know this is an obvious question, but did you ask him to PM it to you? If I misunderstood something here, someone please fill me in. Thanks.

I've seen pics of women who did that. I remember Nora colored her pubic hair pink the last time she was at B1, but I never knew there was a name for it. Vajazzle, I love it. 😊

He is fabulously famed and forever famous for falliterations. (Had to take a little poetic license on that last one. Just couldn't help it. )

Gia & Anthony Part 2 - Las Vegas

Actually, Jabba, it turns out we're both right. The official world's hottest air temperature is the one I mentioned in Death Valley, as recognized by the World Meteorological Organization. The temperature measurement at Lut was what is known as an LST or land skin temperature. In layman's terms, it a measurement of the temperature of the ground in direct sunlight, which is often significantly hotter than the air temperature, as it definitely was in this case. -

I guess when you're used to temperatures up to 104°F in the summer, 60°-65°F might seem a bit chilly. -
Good one!!! 🤣🤣🤣

I'll say. Las Vegas's coldest month is December when the average overnight temperature is 36.6°F, 2.55°C. And the daytime highs for the next week, for example, will only be in the low to mid-60s. Interesting side note. The hottest temperature ever recorded on planet Earth was set on July 10, 1913, in Death Valley. That day it was 135°F, 57.22°C. -
Yea, I think I remember a few of those teeth-rattling episodes.

Yea, as I was going back through a couple of pages last night for something else, I ran across your copy, so I downloaded it, too, and gave you a "like" for it. Thanks.

Actually, the didjeridu is an instrument of the Aboriginal culture. They are the indigenous people of that continent who were there for many 1000s of years before it was ever known as Australia or settled, or more accurately, stolen by outsiders. Recent dating of the earliest known archaeological sites on the Australian continent has set the date for Aboriginal presence in Australia to be at least 40,000 years old. Some of the evidence points to dates over 60,000 years. In fact, they hold the distinction of being the oldest living culture on the planet.

I don't follow twitter, but no one posted an official notice, here, that they were leaving.

Wow! Marla is quite the artist. Excellent work. Very cool. 👍

How's this? Any better?

Thank you, Groomy. Greatly appreciated. 👍

Might anyone happen to have this pose, but from the other side of the table? From the cam on the bookshelves? Thanks.

I know, but that's a long haul from four hours.

That deep, rich, bass/baritone sound of the didjeridu is great. What's even more amazing is that the sound is continuous because they never stop blowing into it. They learn to do what's called circular breathing. As a kid, I owned a Jaw harp. I knew it as a Jew's Harp, but it has many names. Check out this link. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1&q=jews+harp

Clara & Stas - Part #4

@Clara and @Stas, I hope everything goes very well with Musi's (love the nickname) care and treatment. I am an animal lover and cat person, too, and it's hard when your babies are sick or injured. Contact dermatitis is a red, itchy rash caused by direct contact with a substance or an allergic reaction to it. The rash isn't contagious or life-threatening, but it can be very uncomfortable. Many substances can cause such reactions, including soaps, cosmetics, fragrances, jewelry and plants. While it can be uncomfortable, I hope it's nothing more serious than contact dermatitis. All the best to you guys and Musi.- 229 replies
