  1. Elon Musk Leaning Toward Governor Ron DeSantis in 2024 Much to Democrats’ Chagrin Fox News: Tesla CEO Elon Musk said he voted Republican for the first time ever – casting a ballot for Mayra Flores who claimed victory in the special election for Texas’ 34th Congressional District, flipping the House seat red. She will be the first Mexican-born congresswoman to serve in the House. Musk also predicted a massive red wave is coming in 2022 and suggested he is leaning toward voting for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for president, should he decide to run in 2024 (Fox News). Musk’s quasi-endorsement came with criticism. Democrat Jamaal Bowman: Elon Musk is not a leader. He’s just another Republican billionaire who supports white supremacy and authoritarianism because he doesn’t want his workers to unionize or to pay his fair share in taxes. The GOP just tried to end democracy and now he’s supporting them (Twitter). New York Post: The Florida governor spoke to reporters during a news conference in Tallahassee. When asked about Musk’s tweet, DeSantis replied: “So what I would say, you know, I’m focused on 2022, but with Elon Musk, what I would say is, you know, I welcome support from African-Americans. What can I say” (New York Post)?
  2. Environmentalists Sue Biden Administration for Approving Oil and Gas Drilling Permits Wall Street Journal: Environmental groups sued the Biden administration on Wednesday, saying that its decision to approve more than 3,500 oil and natural-gas drilling permits in New Mexico and Wyoming violated environmental laws by not taking into account the impact on climate change. In their lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., the conservation nonprofits Center for Biological Diversity and WildEarth Guardians say the approved oil and gas wells will release as much as 600 million metric tons of greenhouse-gas emissions, worsening climate change and damaging U.S. ecosystems. The federal permitting agency “has admitted that continued oil and gas exploitation is a significant cause of the climate crisis, yet the agency continues to recklessly issue thousands of new oil and gas drilling permits,” said Kyle Tisdel, climate and energy program director with the Western Environmental Law Center, which filed the lawsuit on behalf of the nonprofits… Roughly 10% of U.S. oil and gas production comes from federal land. Most comes from state and private land (Wall Street Journal). CNN: Interior announced in April it would resume onshore oil and gas leases after a federal judge issued an injunction that thwarted President Joe Biden’s efforts in early 2021 to rein in drilling on federal land. Interior announced it would significantly reduce the number of parcels being offered, and make companies pay a higher royalty rate. Biden himself is increasing pressure on fossil fuel companies to ramp up their capacity. On Wednesday, the president penned letters to seven oil refinery companies, urging them to take “immediate actions to increase the supply of gasoline, diesel, and other refined product.” The American Petroleum Institute, a top fossil fuel trade group, responded on Wednesday to the letter, saying they “appreciate the opportunity to open increased dialogue with the White House” but that “the administration’s misguided policy agenda shifting away from domestic oil and natural gas has compounded inflationary pressures and added headwinds to companies’ daily efforts to meet growing energy needs while reducing emissions” (CNN).
  3. Canada to Invest $30 Billion in Defense to Counter Russian and Chinese Threats in Arctic Wall Street Journal: Canada on Monday pledged to spend over $30 billion over the next two decades to help detect and track military threats from Russia and China in the Arctic. This would mark one of the biggest outlays by Canada in decades on bolstering its defense capabilities, and would deliver on a promise to the U.S. to modernize its capabilities to help defend the continent as part of the North American Aerospace Defense Command, or Norad. Military analysts have repeatedly warned Norad radar and satellite-image capabilities in the North require a dramatic upgrade, given Russia’s development of a new generation of long-range air- and sea-launched cruise missiles, and hypersonic missiles. China is also developing missiles. Canadian officials say the threat to the North has escalated following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February. Former military commanders say Russia now has the ability to sustain military operations across the high Arctic, given their recently refurbished military installations across its northern coast. The melting polar ice cap is also leaving the once impassable Arctic Ocean ice-free for longer periods, creating new vulnerabilities for the North American continent (Wall Street Journal). ABC: The announcement at an Ontario air force base comes amid numerous warnings from U.S. and Canadian military officials and experts that NORAD is badly showing its age. “As autocratic regimes threaten the rules based international order that has protected for decades, and as our competitors develop new technologies like hypersonic weapons and advanced cruise missiles, there is a pressing need to modernize Canada’s NORAD capabilities,” Defense Minister Anita Anand said (ABC)
  4. Kremlin Spokesman Refused to Guarantee Safety of Americans Captured in Ukraine Axios: Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told NBC News Monday international rules of war wouldn’t apply to two Americans that Russian forces captured in Ukraine and he wouldn’t rule out death sentences for the vets. The U.S. State Department issued a statement to Axios and other outlets calling on the Kremlin “as well as its proxies” to “live up to their international obligations in their treatment of any individual, including those captured fighting in Ukraine.” Geneva Conventions protections include ensuring “prisoners of war must at all times be humanely treated” (Axios). NBC: “It depends on the investigation,” Dmitry Peskov told NBC News senior international correspondent Keir Simmons when he was asked whether Alexander Drueke and Andy Huynh would “face the same fate” as two British citizens and a Moroccan who were sentenced to death by Moscow-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine this month. The families of Drueke, 39, and Huynh, 27, reported them missing last week. Peskov said Drueke and Huynh were “involved in illegal activities” in Ukraine, firing on Russian troops. “Those guys on the battlefield were firing at our military guys. They were endangering their lives,” he said. “There will be a court, and there will be a court decision,” Peskov said. “They should be punished,” he added, calling Drueke and Huynh “soldiers of fortune” (NBC).
  5. Yahoo Poll: Americans Do Not Want Biden or Trump, But a New Candidate for President Daily Wire: A new poll revealed that the majority of the American public wants a fresh face in the Oval Office, and not a recycling of President Biden or former President Trump. A June 10th Yahoo/YouGov poll found a whopping 64% of respondents felt Biden should not run for reelection in 2024… The results were not much better for Trump. The poll found that 55% of respondents felt Trump should not run for reelection in 2024 (Daily Wire). Daily Mail: The poll found that if an election were carried out between the two presidents today, Trump would narrowly win with 42 per cent of voters over Biden’s 39 per cent (Daily Mail).
  6. Mother of Fallen Officer on DA Gascon: “He's destroyed so many lives” Fox News: The parents of a slain California police officer are demanding Los Angeles DA George Gascon be recalled for his far-left policies, after their son and his partner were killed in the line of duty. Jose Santana and Olga Garcia joined “Fox & Friends First” to discuss their son’s tragedy and why they pin the blame on what critics call Gascon’s “radical” policies. “It’s not fair, Gascon needs to be recalled immediately,” Garcia told co-host Griff Jenkins. “He’s destroyed so many lives, and he’s completely destroyed ours. We’re just completely devastated” (Fox News). Newsnation: Monday morning, Santana’s mother Olga Garcia spoke out about the violence police officers face and shared memories of her son in an emotional interview on NewsNation. “George Gascon gives criminals more rights than police officers. He has insane ideas about criminals. They just get like a slap in the hand. Police officers are afraid to even do their jobs, or to defend themselves because Gascon would put them in jail. He’s for the criminals. He is not for victims. And as long as he continues to be in office is going to destroy more families,” Garcia said. There is an ongoing recall effort to remove Gascon from his position, and the petition to recall him has already received half a million signatures. “If that criminal would have been locked up, they both would be here today,” Garcia said (Newsnation). Good thing that LA now has enough signatures to recall this Left wing loser Campaign to Recall Los Angeles DA George Gascón Gathered Enough Signatures to Force Vote on Ballot ABC: A group seeking to recall Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón said on Wednesday that it has collected enough signatures to qualify for the ballot. In a statement, the Recall DA George Gascón campaign announced it has has surpassed 566,857 signatures collected as of Tuesday, “which equates to 10% of registered voters” in the county “and is the required threshold to officially initiate a recall.” Organizers said their focus has now turned to collecting as many additional signatures as possible to ensure there is a necessary “cushion” to offset those that are invalidated by the county registrar of voters. The campaign’s stated goal is to submit 650,000 – 700,000 total signatures or more (ABC). Fox News: The recall is the second attempt by supporters to oust Gascon, who came into office in December 2020 on a criminal justice reform platform. As crime has increased across the county, so has scrutiny of its top prosecutor, who has barred his deputy district attorneys from seeking enhancement allegations, which can significantly lengthen prison sentences, and charging juveniles as adults, even those accused of serious crimes, among others (Fox News). Daily Wire: And the criminals certainly appear to have gotten the message. According to Melugin’s reporting a week earlier, as plans to recall Gascón began to gain momentum, audio surfaced of a gang member charged with murder asking his attorneys to “hurry up and make a deal” while Gascón still held the office (Daily Wire).
  7. Chevron CEO Pessimistic About United States Building Another Oil Refinery, Ever Institute for Energy Research: Chevron CEO Mike Wirth does not expect another oil refinery to be built in the United States ever again, due to federal government policies. The last significant refinery built in the United States was in 1976. (A small refinery came online in 2020 in North Dakota). Over the last two years, due to reduced demand from the pandemic and President Biden’s stated policy to reduce the demand for petroleum products, U.S. refineries have been shut down or repurposed to become biofuel refineries. In a business where investments have a payout period of a decade or more, it is unlikely for investment to be spent on policies where the demand is to be reduced (IER). HotAir: The Democrats, now led by Joe Biden, have been warning everyone for years that they were going to find a way to move the world away from the use of fossil fuels. Biden promised to “end fossil fuels” on the campaign trail and enacted policies moving in that direction starting on his first day in office. The oil and gas industry was listening and they’ve responded accordingly… Nobody is going to flush that much cash into such a project when Uncle Sam is threatening to effectively outlaw your product in the next decade. And once a refinery is shut down or converted to produce biofuels, it can’t simply be “switched back on” or reverted to oil processing at the drop of a hat (HotAir).
  8. Democrat Voters Blame Biden for Inflation Ed Morrissey: One can only play dodgeball for so long before they got bombed by their own side. Joe Biden’s attempts to dodge responsibility for inflation by shifting blame to Vladimir Putin and greedy corporations have not fooled too many people, according to a new TIPP poll conducted in partnership with Issues & Insights. The “Putin price hike” line isn’t even selling among Democrats, a majority of whom blame Biden in significant part for soaring inflation (HotAir). Issues and Insights: Of those responding, 64% said Biden was “responsible,” choosing either “very responsible” (38%) or “somewhat responsible” (26%). Just 25% answered “not responsible”, with 17% saying “not very responsible” but a far-smaller 8% saying “not at all responsible.” “Not sure” was 10% (Issues and Insights).

  17. Great--you dumbass---now you have 2 gas stations in California selling gas over $9.00-- THAT IS NOT THE ENTIRE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
  18. Read my posts and draw the correct conclusion--if you can😏
  19. We all know that the price was lower than it is now. However, the comment was made that the price for gas in California was $9.79 a gallon which was not true and is still not true. I appreciate anyone making comments about an article that are factual--not fake news.
  20. Hey that is one woman reporting on what she paid----Don' be so stupid with your comments. In the article: Some people reacted to her short video and said there are better offers out there. A follower recommended her to visit Costco and sign up for membership there. Available data shows that in counties like Imperial, the cheapest gas available is priced at $6.19 per gallon. On the other hand, in Humboldt County, customers have to pay $6.83 per gallon. This is a 64-cent difference per gallon that’s currently in place in the same state, according to AAA. Costco in So Calif is $6.09 for regular. California has higher prices than most other States because of the mixing requirement and state taxes. It is true that California Democrats are killing this State and hurting the law abiding people who live here=criminals and illegals welcome.
  21. From the article A total of 411 myocarditis or pericarditis, or both, events were observed among 15 148 369 people aged 18–64 years who received 16 912 716 doses of BNT162b2 and 10 631 554 doses of mRNA-1273. Interpretation An increased risk of myocarditis or pericarditis was observed after COVID-19 mRNA vaccination and was highest in men aged 18–25 years after a second dose of the vaccine. However, the incidence was rare. These results do not indicate a statistically significant risk difference between mRNA-1273 and BNT162b2, but it should not be ruled out that a difference might exist. Our study results, along with the benefit–risk profile, continue to support vaccination using either of the two mRNA vaccines. If you think that 411 cases our to 15,148.369 people is dangerous--you are delirious . This article just proved basically how save vaccinations are.
  22. Oh not Canada--I don't like wearing long sleeved shirts to cover my bare arms.😏
