TBG, when I used to be a fire fighter, a lot of our trucks had jake brakes or engine brakes as they are known so I'm familiar with them. I love the sound of turbo's spooling up!! This guy I used to work with years ago had a diesel pick-up and his turbo could be heard for at least a couple hundred yards. My other buddy with the diesel pick-up never thought he would own one until he got a good deal on one. Now he says he won't have anything else lol. I agree with you though, when anything has to be repaired on a diesel the price automatically doubles and therefore I would never own one for that reason.

SC, I don't think the ringing in my ears has ever made the sounds of slot machines or machine guns or rain hitting a metal roof. With me it is just constant ringing now days or Cicada'ing as you described. Am I lucky in that respect, I think I am. I have found myself asking my kids, grandkids, and family members to repeat themselves more often but I don't know for sure if it's because of the tinnitus or just getting older. As for getting to sleep, I already take more than enough medicine for 3 people and the last thing I need to do is take more if not needed. There are nights that I don't sleep very long at all, and when the lack of sleep catches up with me, i'll sleep for 10 to 12 hours as yourself does.

It's just another VH piss poor move by N&B. Cesar will have to live there because he won't want to make that trip every damn day and once Holly is around him the shit is going to fly!! Piss poor decision making at it's finest!!!

Moving Gina to B4 makes perfect sense if you look at having another show couple in the mix. It's really sad that RLC (N&B) have ruined the whole GOV concept. If this is true about her moving to B4, there will probably be fireworks in the first week!!

Yeah, a buddy of mine has an F250 with a very loud turbo so I know what your talking about. He wants me to drive it for a month so he can put some mile on his hunting truck before he goes hunting, that and the fact that he has to park it on the street. I told him no problem and that I would probably take it on a road trip lol. He said to treat it like it was mine and enjoy. You are referring to the Jake brakes when you say the Jakes correct?

"This is absolute tortuous hell." Yes it is but you get used to it believe it or not. Some days are diamonds and some days are stone! It's funny that you turned off the TV as I have done the same thing thinking that I heard a buzzing noise but no such luck, it's the freaking ringing in my ears.

This is what I think might have happened. I think that N&B wanted them to be part of their show group and C&Y declined the invitation so Bogs kicked them out. Either that or they had had enough and chose to leave on their own.

yeah 3Amys, I really feel sorry for you and trust me, I know what you are going through. Three ringing/buzzing is sometimes so weak, it's almost as if you don't have it but then all of a sudden is alarmingly loud. Mine has never made me nauseous and thank god for that!! However, you will learn to live with it just like all of us have. There will be times that you don't think you even have it anymore because you are preoccupied by something else and then.....boom, it hits you like a ton of bricks.

Yes, I have had tinnitus for about 30 years. I used to do a lot of shooting, and I mean a lot of shooting, between 3,000 to 5,000 rounds a week. Even though I used hearing protection, it didn't end up helping when it was all said and done. Some days it's so bad that I have a hard time getting to sleep. It's constant ringing or buzzing in my ears 24/7 365. I haven't found anything that seem to help and if you do find something please feel free to share with me. I'm really sad to hear where tinnitus has claimed another victim. I wish you the best of luck!!
