    What happened to the military chain of command? Is Milley saying that people in Washington above Milley bypassed the military chain of command and directly ordered Gen. Miller to close Bagram Airbase. That order should have been given to Gen. Milley and then he should have passed it on to Gen. Miller. That's how the chain of command is suppose to operate.

    That is such a dumb answer. The Taliban is providing security for the airport, but don't bother to search people for bombs at their checkpoints? The bomb that went off at the airport hotel was a vehicle full of explosives. How is that a vehicle full of explosives could drive through a Taliban checkpoint unless they wanted the vehicle to get through?
