I think that with the balcony doors closed and the lights in the room on, the glass in the doors acts like a mirror, so when they appear to be dancing for the balcony, they're actually seeing a full length reflection of themselves.

I'd gladly loan them my DSLR! The photographer in me is going crazy! Different camera angle! Adjust the white balance, rearrange the candles! More milk!

Oh, I thought there was a threshold of illumination. I was hoping the extra candles would bump it up to natural light as opposed to the night vision scene.

with any luck the extra candle will kick the illumination up to a point where the cameras won't keep switching modes.
