Regarding lighter-than-air machines, Zeppelin airships had an excellent record of passenger safety, and held far more than just 6 passengers. Over three decades of operation, the only fatalities of passengers was on the Hindenburg (13 passengers, 22 crew). There were 97 people on board. Personally, if I have a choice between being in an exploding, crashing airship, and an exploding, crashing airliner with 320 people on board, I'll take my chances with the airship. It is sad. :'( The one nation in the world which acknowledges that free speech is a right given by a generic god and not a government now requires its citizens to look elsewhere (like the UK) for detailed information regarding important issues. No matter. Our socialist public education system doesn't teach people how to think or read; hence, European media suppliers who talk about these topics (which the US main-stream media outlets dare not tackle) have my thanks and gratitude. Judging from the posts on this thread, Nora must be the most magnetic woman at RLC. Not only do the Nora lovers post here (defensively, on occasion), but also the Nora haters, who watch her every move and post negative comments about her incessantly. It's as if the Nora haters simply don't realize that there are other apartments they can investigate. They don't understand the expression "Just don't click." As for Nora's visitors, these girls are just temporary, and not worthy of one's long-term entrancement. This apartment seems to attract men who only can handle one-night stands.

Brings back old memories from the good days. A-bomb drill tests at school, duck & cover alerts, and the family down the street that dug out its back yard to install a pre-built fancy air raid shelter. The new ones say stuff to you, but the echos off the other civil defense towers always make it sound like gobbeldy-gook except for the word "emergency." And probably the birds don't much like this new contraption, either. (add 15 years to my age and have me growing up in Europe, and the sound would be far scarier.)

I don't think it's illegal. If photos get posted to Facebook or VK they are public domain and free for other people to see. If photos are made and posted outside their apartments then they are not property of RLC. If they didn't want their pictures to be seen they wouldn't have posted them. Once they are public domain they can be posted anywhere. Just certain sites have a policy of not exploiting their personal lives outside of their confines. You are correct, it's not illegal. Besides, these photos were posted on a publicly available site in a publicly available mode. And they are old, and many of us have already seen the pictures. Regarding bans, RLC seems to do whatever it wants. As far as CC is concerned the official rules are: No hacking into private files or systems, no posting of virus or malware programs, no posting of content that can be defined as sexual exploitation of people under the age of consent, not posting of information that could lead to harm of our beloved RLC tenants, and no pissing off Squirrel. I have my own opinion about posting of "personal" files, (I consider it to be unwise unless done through PMs) but my ideas have not been adopted as hard and fast rules. And besides, Leora is a goddess. And I wouldn't think of banning any current and productive poster to this board. Now, as far as that gif of Scooter humping the pillow, well, we might have to announce a ban on beastiality. That, along with that dog in general, is just tasteless. (Leora should have adopted a squirrel instead... ;D )

This is the only place they can vent their frustrations. They don't control the media or the political institutions that insist on perpetuation the division of humans based on race, and they don't much appreciate always being blamed for the perceived ills of the US, and then being taxed to pay for it. They are not burning their neighborhoods down. They are not killing themselves or black police officers. They are not destroying little businesses, or threatening big ones with boycotts in exchange for protection money (Can you say Rev. Jesse Jackson?) They're just pissed. If some black or Muslim member of CC wants to call them out on it, I'm fine with that, and the post should stay.

Squirrel is investigating, I will do everything in my power to rescue the missing thread. I'm personally fond of free, unrestrained communications of human thought whether I agree with the concepts or not.

But if one can understand the pathos, the wars, the misery, the glory, the victory and defeats of the wars of Europe, and how these things shaped western civilization, then perhaps you can also understand the music their masters created. I now get back to the basics of Juke Box. I acquired a fine stereo system many years ago. I played this man's work on this equipment, and it sounded like he was in the room. One can hear the movement of the fingers upon the frets: even that sound is absolutely melodic and perfect in its execution. I post this for our friends SanPer58 and Cortes43 and Darkman, because their contributions are appreciated at CC and because their culture has been so influential. Not much video: just toss this into the background and listen to it and relax.
