I think such bickering and arguments at CC happen whenever RLC or CC become boring. Maybe we need some new kittens at the apartments to get things interesting again. Let's hope they're bipedal and trained by Meerkat.

The purpose of the quote button is to call reference to a part of the thread, so readers don't get lost in the thread. It can be useful. Hint for all: Quotes can be edited! You can eliminate irrelevant material, and people will still know what you're talking about! What a nifty idea! However, heavily nested and repeated quotes within quotes, with the same huge picture displayed 20 times, is useless and annoying. This week, however, I'm mostly annoyed by messages that just say "You're a fuck-wit." Now I know how Woof! got his reputation for his bark and his bite.

Scary horror movie you posted there, Woody. This is what happens when the Federal Government encourages schools to interfere with the education of students. The highest levels of SAT (college entrance examinations) scores in the United States were last seen in 1972. It took several years for the Feds and the leftists to gain control, thus fulfilling the goals of the 2nd and 3rd ComInterns, and the product produced by the massively expensive socialist school system is now worthy of great derision. The concepts of individual liberty, responsibility and human attainment are officially dead. I would suggest my European friends either build up their military defenses or learn Russian and Arabic quickly. The nation that championed the liberty of the individual and sealed the fate of Hitler and Hirohito is long gone. :'( (And yes, KK & NL, the grammar Nazi in me caught the use of "us" in the beginning, when in fact he should have said "we Americans" instead of "us Americans." I knew it would be downhill from there.)

The problem I have is that the current flock of problems is not caused by Newbies, but by veteran CC members. Posts like "You're such an asshat," or "You're a stupid fuck-wit," especially in the Pictuers/Video sections are a big turn-off to Newbies and a perfectly good reason never to come back to visit CC. The Rants and Flame Wars was created specifically for this kind of stuff. My theory is that I should just copy such posts to the Flame Wars section, then remove the comments without explanation or warning. In the meantime, I suggest you IGNORE such posts. It only serves to reward trollish behavior. If people are going to simply spew insults for trollish fun, then they shouldn't have anybody else in the sandbox to play with.

Errr, um, yes. I hope you had a marvelous birthday; you're the veritable sweetheart of CC; may you be blessed with a Pulitzer and the sale of screen rights next week. And drive a hard bargain on the toy rights; they're worth a fortune to a writer, too, especially if you can get Victoria's Secret, McDonald's, and Duracel all involved with design and marketing. :P ;D

Why are they networking their computers at the same time? If it was a game, why aren't they using proper input mechanisms? (aka Joysticks). Are they playing an on-line adventure game? Taking on-line classes together? Buster will hit me upside the head for this, but could they be playing a game that involves the accumulation of other people's bank account numbers? All in all, this "couple" is non-standard enough to elicit all sorts of amazing notions from the CC Nation. Fortunately, she's pretty attractive, so I'm sure someone will study them enough to know what their story is about.

Actually kids, despite the fact that he's usually annoying, Snaky is partially right. Some members of CC are RLC spies. The rest of us work as NSA, FSB, or as privateers. I work for the squirrels. I'm safe. You can talk to me. Privateer squirrels only want acorns, pecans, that sort of thing. And little squirrels get a bit tired of reminding people that they should be a bit more tactful when deriding others, because little squirrel is now a mod and he receives complaints about asshole posters all the fucking time. And he receives reports from asshole reporters all the time. We need to encourage civilized members here. Now, back on topic: Does Jenny look like a fun addition or what?

In the US, we have what is called "The Fair Use Doctrine," in which you can cite short snippets of works from others to help express an idea or concept. It's necessary to ensure freedom of speech, especially that of a political nature. We have this ability in the US (not granted by a government -- it's that exceptionalist thing educated people understand and that everyone thinks is evil), and it's necessary. However, it doesn't necessarily apply to borrowing large works of others engaged in personal or commercial work (it's that legal thing that makes lawyers make a living.) However, RLC is a public entity, worthy of comment, so I think they allow some "Fair Use" to rule: as long as it's controlled and people are not just ripping them off. CC does work as advertising and the fact that publication of pictures on CC lasts is because we have a paying membership base and it excludes the massive rip-off sites from stealing the pictures that we have "borrowed" from RLC to illustrate our comments. That's just a fricking guess, of course.

Yes, that's true. And yes, tbg is correct to say we need to exercise a very wide latitude and have tolerance for the jack-ass opinions of fuck-wits. But the quality level of posters seems to be getting tedious, deplorable, and boring, lacking all humor, wit, and fun. They belong on 4chan/b, not here. It behooves us to subtly defend our little island of CC freedom. We can start by adopting step 1: DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS. They hate being ignored. Ignore them. Step 2:Treat others with some modicum of respect. Especially then tenants. Hell, Suzan & Hector just moved in and everybody's bitching about them already. There's no RLC show without them. If you don't like a couple, move on to an apartment you appreciate. Step 3: If another CC member gives you shit, laugh at him and just move on. Otherwise, he wins. Playing nicely in the sand box is easy. Bring your little green army men, your dinosaurs, your Tonka trucks, your shovels, dolls and pie pans. Share them. But don't shit in our sand box. Everybody here should be old enough to have been potty trained. Thank you.

According to me the guys on the other site Reallifecamfan.com are full of shit. Actually, it appears that the dudes on Reallifecamfan are no more full of shit that we are.
