El plan es crear la infraestructura para, en caso de ataque cibernético, desplegar las murallas digitales. Y desenchufarse de Internet global para quedarse dentro de un ecosistema ruso. Si otros países intentan aislarla, Rusia se aislará primero, plantean. La ley para establecer RuNet, como han llamado a la Internet soberana rusa, ha alarmado a las organizaciones de derechos civiles, que sostienen que tras el argumento de prevenir pirateos o ataques digitales se esconde la intención de reforzar el control de la Red. Y de limitar las libertades en el ciberespacio en este país de más de 144 millones de habitantes, y en el que el 76% de la población tiene acceso a Internet. “El paquete de medidas entero supone la creación de un cortafuegos ruso global de censura, es una amenaza para los usuarios”, critica Artión Kozluk, director del centro para la libertad en la Red Roskomsvoboda. El abogado y activista compara la nueva ley con la conocida como cibermurallachina, con la que el Gobierno del gigante asiático controla la Red y bloquea el acceso a cientos de webs y aplicaciones, como Twitter, Facebook o YouTube. Rusia ya bloquea aplicaciones de mensajería como Telegram, la red social profesional LinkdIn o el canal de vídeos DailyMotion.
