It is the law. Actually, it doesn't have anything to do with CamCaps' mods or the CC site. But, you're right, it is all about RLC. They issue a DMCA takedown notice to the 3rd-party host site, such as zupimages or kepkuldes, to remove the media from their servers because it violates their copyright.
