Also, blacks commit the highest percentage of crimes and are therefore much more likely to be killed. However, the chart below does not reflect black on black live lost which is the highest number of total lives lost. Whites killed more officers than blacks, but as a percentage of population (not shown) because blacks are only 14% of total population, the percentage of blacks killing officers is naturally higher.
