It does not look very good for Montreal Canadiens at the moment. I remember in 2011 when Vancouver Canucks made it to a Stanley Cup Final and lost. The Fans went berzerk and tore the City of Vancouver apart with burning buildings to the foundation and torching police cars burning parked vehicles, smashing windows and looting. They better put the Canadian National Guard on High Alert because Montrealer's are more vicious than Vancouverites when they lose. They'll be jumping all over the place after being cooped up inside for almost 18 Months from COVID19 lockdowns. It's over, Habs don't have any miracles left. Our defense is banged up and our key players on offense aren't doing much (some are playing injured). The coach pretty much only ran 4 dmen for the entirety of the playoffs and they're now all are playing with either one hand or on one leg. Cooper is seriously outcoaching Ducharme & Richardson. Price was absolutely stellar before this series but he's having a rough time against TBL and isn't helped at all by the defense. The Habs are making way too many mistakes and causing a lot of turnovers. Tampa is one hell of a team, hats off to the organization for building such a powerhouse and to the players for putting it all on the line for the repeat. I'm not sure how people will react if (when) the Habs lose but so far it's been pretty civilized here downtown. The only small trouble we've had is after the win against VGK, but it was pretty much caused by the police as told (and shown via video) by many people who were there. There were approximately 15000 people outside who were celebrating in a rather well mannered way, but because 4 or 5 idiots launched fireworks and climbed onto street signs, the police decided to shoot tear gas into the mass of people. They hit children and elders which triggered the crowd and created the confrontation. Some people flipped over and destroyed 2 police cars. No shop/business has been harmed as far as I know. I was at the game that night, and we had to remain in the building for almost 2 hours. The players couldn't get out either. It was an interesting experience lol.
StnCld316
Turnovers are always costly with a team like Tampa Bay. They capitalize on turnovers and come striking almost every time. Montreal Canadiens should be quite proud at what they accomplished in the playoffs. They went right to the final even though most had them written off when they were down 3 games against the Maple Leaf's in the first round but Toronto does what they always do best can never make Post Season or they're gone in the first round. Would be nice if their Mojo suddenly came back and do what they done to the Leaf's in the first round.
StnCld316
In Game #4 Montreal Canadiens defeated Tampa Bay Lightning by a score of 3 - 2 in sudden death overtime. Tampa Bay currently has a 3 - 1 lead in the best of 7 series. The win by Montreal extends the series to Game #5 played in Tampa Bay on Wednesday evening. Montreal is looking to extend the series to a Game #6 back in Montreal Friday evening, while Tampa Bay Lightning will be looking to finish the series off with a win to hoist the Stanley Cup for 2 years in a row. If Montreal plays as solid as they done tonight there may be a good possibility to extend it to another game on Friday.
StnCld316
Tampa Bay Lightning defeated Montreal Canadiens by a score of 1 - 0. Tampa Bay closes out the series 4 - 1 to win the coveted Stanley Cup 2 years in a row. Congratulations to Tampa Bay Lightning. Even though Montreal lost they have nothing to be ashamed of. Most had them written off when Toronto Maple Leaf's had a 3 - 1 series lead but they surprised the Leaf's by coming back winning 3 games straight to knock the Leaf's out in the first round then knocking Winnipeg Jets off in 4 straight games followed up by defeating Vegas Golden Knights in 6 games to advance to the Stanley Cup Final. Congratulations to Montreal Canadiens on your accomplishments.
