What do you mean by isolated, Leora has quite obviously known people in the area and probably even have a new BF. That she doesn't let anything of her private life into the apartment is obvious, but certainly not an indicator of isolation.

It simply means that this apartment is lifeless and lacking in content, and that her life ultimately takes place somewhere else.
