It is not real life, it can't be real life, because there are cameras, and the people know that there are cameras. In scientific experimentation, you learn that the actual observation, like using measuring instruments, can potentially change the natural of physical phenomenon that you want to observe. It's the same here. Theoretically, the only real "real life" voyeur site would be a site where the tenants will not be aware of the fact they are filmed. Which will be oviously immoral, and illegal - criminal. Some sites embrace that fact fully, and offer us porn ; tenants who are here to fuck in front of the cameras, like Voyeur Villa. But I don't think it is what the majority of us want here. On the other end of the spectrum : the life of normal people is boring. Normal people don't party every evening, don't spend all their days naked or in underwear (and people work, have social lives, and go outside, so they do not spent that much time in their apartments or houses either). So you have to draw a balancing line. For the couples, it is a bit different, because, well they are couple, and sex is part of their "ordinary" life. So if they are (like most of the couples on RLC obviously are), a little exhibitionists and not bothered/turned on by the fact that they are viewed. So the balancing between "entertainment" and "reallife" for the viewers is quite natural. But for the Barcelona appartments ... all girls that are either single or not with their BF ... no reason for them to engage in any ... "enteraining" activity, aside for a quick bate under covers, unless they can bring a BF home which has happened but is very rare. So that leads us to "shows", the parties, the massages, the candle lit baths, the lingerie and nudity, and those bates with the covers thrown aside - with the associated incentives in the girl's paycheck at the end of the month. We remember the days of Ilona and Irma (and Anna, K&K ...) fondly, because the girls were great, but also before they managed to have this great balance between the real life, and the liitle bits of entertainment, during which they were so playful and cheerfull that suspension of disbelief kicked in for many of us viewers. The coke-laced orgies of Lola's time kind of blurred the lines (and I believe RLC had nothing to do with the way things unfolded). And after that, I believe RLC does not know what to do and where to lead the barca appartments. They are probably trying very hard, too hard, to spice things up by hiring experienced cam girls, but it may alienate some of their viewers just out of principles, and will backfire pretty hard if the model favoritize their paying viewers instead of the cam caps users (to Jessica's credit, she would have cammed in her room instead of a remote corner because RLC can't manage to have a proper internet in her room, and she gave us our own shows). On the other hand, they took onboard girls who are not willing to do anything beyond the bare minimum of functional nakedness. So yeah, I don't know what the future is. But the firing of Melissa is one of the examples that RLC doesn't have a clue, because if there was a girl who managed that balance, that feat to give us plenty of sexyness for our viewing pleasure, while staying classy, it was her.
