It is always easy for leaders to send someone else’s son, daughter, father or mother to die in the quest to secure their legacy, but never risk their own blood relatives. Along with a few airstrikes too. But yes in principle NATO are a defensive/protection organisation who only get involved if they have to, I'm hoping this war doesn't expand to needing that.
