I wasn't there, but I've met some now very old Ukrainian people who have immigrated to my area. They lived through that as children, and saw their families die. THEY HATE RUSSIANS. I have never seen such hatred in someone's eyes, not even from the kindly German Jewish neighbor who had numbers tattooed on her wrist. At the farmers markets here, Russians sell their goods on one end of the market, and the Ukrainians on the opposite side. American whites, blacks, Latinos and Asians are mixed in between, since they all get along quite well, contrary to leftest propaganda. So um 1535 gehörte es sogar zum damals bedeutenden Doppelreich Litauen-Polen. Das Volk dort hatte schon immer eine eigenständige Kultur und Sprache und hatte mit Russland kaum Gemeinsamkeiten. Kiew ist auch bedeutend älter als Moskau. Russische Hauptstadt war über Jahrhunderte St. Petersburg / Leningrad und das Zarenreich beschränkte sich mehr auf den Norden. Das Gebiet der heutigen Ukraine wurde dann nach und nach russisch besetzt und Zarin Katharina II welche selbst aus deutschen Landen kam holte dann Siedler aus Norddeutschland ans Schwarze Meer um dort vorhandene Sümpfe trocken zu legen und für Landwirtschaft nutzbar zu machen. Stalin deportierte diese Menschen dann nach Kasachstan da er Unterstützung der Deutschen Wehrmacht fürchtete, Mit Bildung der UDSSR wurde das Gebiet der Ukraine dann Sozialistisch Republik komplett integriert und nach dem Zerfall der UDSSR dann eigenständiger Staat. Irgendwie vergleichbar mit Kurden und Türken, vom Osmanischen Reich integriert, nur das das Kurdische Volk bis heute unterdrückt wird und es noch keinen freien Kurdenstaat gibt.
