Foamy T. Squirrel Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Yes, some of us like well crafted machines. Here's a thread for that. Post your favorites. https://autos.yahoo.com/photos/the-a-to-z-rare-car-collection-slideshow/
TBG 150 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I'll take #4 in White please. And #28 just as it sits. That Roller looks good too. But I like my modern rides.

KarenKraft Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Those are just cars, Lt. Dan. This is a cool machine:
Foamy T. Squirrel Posted May 10, 2015 Author Posted May 10, 2015 Welcome to Squirrel Challenge. I challenge you to post what this machine depicts, and who invented it. Hint: it was the first of its kind, launched a huge hobby, and that hobby is now grown up (and sometimes lethal.) First to respond gets 10 points from Foamy!!!
rubberball50 Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Welcome to Squirrel Challenge. I challenge you to post what this machine depicts, and who invented it. Just going by your hint... it's a drone (radio controlled vehicle). Do I get partial credit? ;D Tesla's toy boat (yeah, I googled the picture)... do I still get partial credit for guessing it's an RCV? I guessed that before I googled. ;D ;D
Foamy T. Squirrel Posted May 10, 2015 Author Posted May 10, 2015 Ten points awarded to rubberball50! It's a radio-controlled submarine, built by Nikola Tesla. It's odd that the first RC "toy" was a submarine; perhaps the most difficult RC model to control.
Foamy T. Squirrel Posted May 10, 2015 Author Posted May 10, 2015 I'm old school. I'm 19th Century. I'm steam-punky. Maybe an ancient version of our beloved KK. I don't know what they are saying in the video, and I don't care. Iron horses rock.
TBG 150 Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 It's odd that the first RC "toy" was a submarine; perhaps the most difficult RC model to control. That depends on the frequency in which you transmit. Water requires a higher frequency due to the density.
